If student(s) are not appropriately dressed they will be denied admittance to the event."

.

ALL volunteers for the dances are required to have a background check on file with ALA-Coastal since these positions will oversee students.

.

  • The ALA-Coastal PTO will verify all background checks with ALA before the dance.
  • If you wish to volunteer for the Elementary or 5th grade dance and need to complete a background check, click HERE.
  • As a reminder, the PTO does not conduct the background screenings nor have direct access to the results as these screenings contain personal and private information of the applying individual.

Families complete the online verification form on the BIB website link (supplied above). From there, BIB conducts the screening and provides the results to ALA administration for review and final approval. ALA does not have control over the BIB processing times and they DO vary. ALA administration checks twice per week for pending BIB applications.

  • The PTO captures BIB/Secure Volunteer ID Numbers and Expiration Dates on our website.
